TV for Facebook goes live in the U.S.

In a follow-on move from the Video tab that was released in the U.S. last year, Facebook has created their own video platform called Watch - a new platform for shows on Facebook. Whilst it’s currently only in its baby stages in the United States, if successful, we could see it hit our own shores very soon.Available across mobile, desktop/laptop, and in the TV app, Watch will utilise the comments and reactions feature from Facebook Live, bringing shows to users in a highly sociable way that will compete with Netflix, Amazon, and other video streaming platforms. It is personalised to help users discover new shows based on what friends and communities are watching, the sections include ‘Most Talked About’, ‘What’s Making People Laugh’, and ‘What Friends Are Watching’, with more to come. So, the battle to capture our screen time continues. We’ll keep you posted if it makes its way to NZ!https://www.facebook.com/facebook/videos/10156285678786729/
